Vantaggi

Supportive manager Nice facility Training team is excellent

Svantaggi

My agency was acquired by Higginbotham and the transition was messy for employees and our clients. There was no onboarding or training, we were expected to just figure things out without even being introduced to anyone on our "team". Our manager is completely overwhelmed in her position, everyone is overwhelmed. I have asked for help several times and have been told to just send an email asking for help, but don't because everyone else is in the same boat as me. The compensation is a joke. Every week an email goes out showing the revenue numbers for the week. There is no reason a company that is making upwards of $2 MILLION a week in revenue should be paying their employees so poorly. It's a slap in the face to see every week.

Vantaggi

I was extremely excited to get started at Higg. Even during the interview process, I met some amazing people who seemed to live the values that are at the heart of who the company is. I was in. The CEO Rusty, is a pretty amazing guy, and it's hard not to be inspired when he's around. The pay is good. But the people are what make Higg what it is, with some exceptions.

Svantaggi

Benefits are just ok, and very expensive for those with a family. I unfortunately worked for people I wasn't a good fit with, and didn't want to utilize my expertise; don't hire for a director-level role when you really just want a trainer who does what you tell them to do. My decisions were overridden, and the times I tried to make counterarguments, I was met with hostility. Higg is very click-ish as well, and when you go against one person, you feel it from their friends. Formalized training is still in its infancy here, so I'm glad you're investing in it, but give it time to work. It's ok to iterate, but give things time as you can't measure impact if you keep changing everything and expecting immediate results, especially when the initial results were highly-positive (so I'm not even sure what they wanted). I was also asked to travel significantly more than explained during the hiring and interview process (and I explained my limitations in advance, as family is my priority). Had you been truthful about those expectations, I wouldn't have taken the role.
