Vantaggi
- The Culture: a truly remote company that facilitates open and authentic relationships. My best work is getting done at Higharc and culture is the arena that create the space for that to happen. - The Product: we don't have a single competitor. We are all in, this is a winner-takes-all market. It's truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to support a product this dangerous. - Our Customers: we get to work with some of the most innovative thinkers in home building. Our customers are helping people get into homes. They're heroes and we get to arm them with game changing technology and services. It's energizing! - The Leadership: amazing, tried and true leaders. I have a license to create impact at Higharc, but what's better is the guidance I receive. The executive leadership team is comprised of some of the brightest and greatest humans in tech. - The People: everyone says it, few can back it up. The best talent ends up at Higharc - and they're all people you love to be around. A-players every turn you look.
Svantaggi
- Initiative Fatigue: there's so much going on. There are so many opportunities to create and iterate. There's always a TON going on, which can diminish focus at times. Startup stuff. - Good is Often the Enemy: the company isn't perfectionist in nature but the pursuit of excellence is a virtue practiced by many, including myself. We don't often give ourselves the credit we deserve. Good is still good, we need to be more real about that in the pursuit of greatness. - So Much Slack: my Slack is blown up with a dozen messages on what feels like a regular hourly basis. Remote work is worth it, but it's definitely an adjustment. It can be...intense. - Checking in With Yourself: I, like my colleagues, probably don't practice as much self care as we should. People pour their hearts, souls and every fiber of their being into Higharc. It's easy to be out of touch with yourself while getting immersed (deeply) in the work. The company promotes self care, but it's easy to ignore.
