There is lots of work to be done.

Highwire does not promote from within and offers no internal career progression. Additionally, the CEO is inappropriate, cocky, unprofessional, and rude.

While not everyone earns promotions, it’s in our company’s best interest to provide our great employees with meaningful career growth, and we do.
It’s important to consider our recent organizational growth. When current management joined in April 2021, the company had 16 employees (some of whom are no longer with the company). Today we have over 65 employees! So by necessity, we hired most of our current team from the outside. Many of our employees have been at Highwire for less than two years. Nevertheless, in the past twelve months, we’ve promoted eight employees to new positions and provided merit raises to another eighteen folks. We think that’s pretty darn good.
Your characterization of our CEO, Don Fornes, does not align with my personal experience. I worked with Don for five years at his last company and was excited to relocate to Boston when he asked me to join him in this new venture (a few of us followed him here from that last company). Don is very accessible and genuinely eager to get to know people at every level. He is happy to meet with candidates during the interview process, just ask!

Svantaggi
This is a small company looking to grow. It requires a lot of grit and hard work. If you're just looking for a simple 9-5, this company probably won't be for you.

Vantaggi
This is a good company for someone who wants to waste their days away in a cold, dreary office with negative executives who constantly belittle their employees in the name of 'intensity'...
Really good comp.. or it was, atleast. I'm pretty sure they've gotten worse since I left. Money isn't worth misery
Svantaggi
Long work days - they expect you to work well past 5 PM and publicly shame if you don't
They are revenue driven in the worst way
They let people go constantly with very little insight into why - I left on my own, but know of multiple people who were cut off cold turkey for very little reason besides budget and reorg
The CEO bullies and belittles employees constantly - and it WAY too involved in sales/engineering. Doesn't let the VPs do their job properly and confuses employees with back and forth
If you value your personal life, I'd steer very clear of this place
