The amount of compensation does not reflect the amount of work you are supposed to put on, at all. You are demanded to attend 4-6 f2f meeting every single day, rain or shine. On top of that, detailed CRM notes are demanded to put in as the management is tracking your daily activities notoriously. Your job description is a mix of sales rep, construction consultant and account management. You are also responsible of pricing agreements, booking those 4-6 appoinments by cold calling and tracking the revenue and overall margin of your sales. Kind of what a business owner would do. These are not bad things in of itself, but you can't expect this level of responsibilities and work without decent compensation. The job description would make more sense pay wise, If the compensation model would include commission on top of base salery. F ex 5-10% of the gross margin of The revenue you bring home. I find myself constantly tired and broke, and so does many of my collegues. There is a bonus system in place though, where you earn 20 cents on the euro for every euro that exceeds your sales quota. So reaching the quota does not equal good pay on terms of bonuses, unless you manage to sell way over your quota.
