Vantaggi
Not many pros company wise, standard employees are very friendly and helpful, some managers, work life balance is okay unless it's very busy
Svantaggi
Very low pay vs extremely high expectations, where other companies would literally pay at least double salary for the same work. Several senior managers are very bad (the CEO is very good and friendly) but I had a lot of negative experiences with some department managers. Head of underwriting is very negative and often toxic, contant swearing and bad manners, often putting pressure on people for no reason and creating impossible expectations. There were ocassions where were we were asked to produce 200-300% productivity, just because they would mess up rates and offer lowest rate on market, attracting a lot of clients etc... People are often forced into overtime and holiday requests are often rejected just because "they need" everyone to do 3 or 4 times their normal target. A lot of underwriting points had to be referred to senior managers, where they would literally ignore you and you would need to chase them daily for urgent things and often you could get told off for chasing them too much. There were ocassions that this behaviour resulted in complaints and then they would blame you for this. Sales manager brings a lot of business from his "friends and family", and then expects you to treat them in special way and delay others just because some customers are his friends. I was also trained by senior member of team and was yelled at twice and threatened that my job is at risk for no particular reason, all during my training..
