To be transparent, management terminated my contract under the excuse they were going to be 'restructuring their art department' - of three people. When pressed on how, they claimed they needed people with more experience. This was a week after they were considering pulling me onboard from contract to employee as an assistant art director. The real reason for the termination was pointing out flaws in their system that would have been troublesome down the road. Others agreed with me. The problem was the people responsible for those flaws were management who wanted to stand by their decisions, not take criticism for it, and took it personally. Ironically they'll espouse the importance of work experience while being too incompetent to know how to communicate priorities effectively. They'll pride themselves on experience producing shovelware games while pretending they're more than that. Just take a look at the negative reviews of 'Kongregate' here on Glassdoor for a better idea of what to look forward to. I could continue about the hijacking of a beloved IP that they're going to use in name only, the problems with using 3 different foreign studios on the same game, and the lack of quality control with art assets among other things, but needless to say, it's not the company they sell themselves as nor the one I want to work for.
