Hi!
My name is Therese and I started as an intern at HitFox Group seven months ago. Before the minimum wages were introduced in Berlin, it was not uncommon that startups offered unpaid internships. HitFox internship salary was at the higher end, and with the new regulation it follows the market standard. Internship salaries generally do not make you rich, but in a city as affordable as Berlin I can live a very comfortable life on what I earn as an intern.
The office is busy between 10am-7pm, but it is not uncommon for people to come in earlier and leave later. Sure some weeks get busy, but I always have the time and energy to meet with friends, do sports, and run errands throughout the week.
The people that I work with are all very ambitious and hard-working, and they are also some of the friendliest and most interesting people I have met. These are the kind of colleagues I look for when interviewing and the ones that stay for the longer term.
