The pay and pension arrangements are good.

Non-existent/evasive HR function. Bullying culture - not only accepted but rewarded - senior managers shouting at and abusing employees in public - information hiding - setting up individuals to fail. Incredibly weak management - always politicking. No leadership at all - job title is everything, competence not required. No internal succession planning - promotion by filling "dead men's shoes" - no training, no preparation, just whoever is most visible to a senior manager. Hence the politicking and bullying.
