Vantaggi
Health insurance was pretty decent in Canada. Office wasn't the worst, had some snacks. Pay is average, nothing competitive, can definitely find better elsewhere.
Svantaggi
Well, where do I even start. The upper management is pretty undecisive about almost everything. The companies direction changes with the season and when it does the load is entirely put on the employees with no real help direction or help from management. But then when they don't hit their OKRs (which have no real basis to them, just made up really), they put all the blame on the employees and tell them they should be working longer hours, or try to fire them. This is essentially the theme of everything the company does, "empower" employees then blame them when anything fails. If you're buddy buddy with the exec team you can do anything you want with no real consequences. If you're not they'll try and find an excuse to fire you on the slightest mistake or if you don't perform as a 10x dev. In the end, most of the company is all smoke and mirrors. I have no idea where they ever made money, tech is demo driven which means things don't actually have to work, you just have to be able to confuse the exec team enough and to top it off you'll get no real credit or reward for anything you do, but all the blame. Oh also, they talk a lot about diversity and inclusion but its just a facade to make them fit in with the current world. HR violations get covered up and they act as if there are quota's to hit for hiring race, gender etc, they don't actually care, just want to hit a number as a talking point.
