Vantaggi

You're not micromanaged unless you don't know what you're doing. HBS has good benefits and they are always teeing to improve/grow. They listen to employee feed back.

Svantaggi

Pay here is below average but a decent place to get your foot in the door. Project managers are understaffed.

Vantaggi

The benefits were fairly good, multiple insurance packages to choose from. There are some very good people that work there, the company is lucky that they haven’t left yet.

Svantaggi

Extremely unprofessional management. At least one supervisor would routinely verbally abuse and denigrate other employees, he was eventually removed from his position (after more than a year) but was rewarded with a telework position in Hawaii. Upper level management was also extremely unprofessional. VPs would openly insult our sales people in front of other employees on a routine basis. Pay was too low for the required qualifications, which led to retention issues. It would take a year or more to replace a field engineer that left, and whoever remained was forced to work unpaid overtime to make up the difference. They demand 50-60 hours a week depending on the time of year. The company gives a standard raise of 2 or 3 percent every couple of years, so new people coming in will often make more starting than people who have been there for one or two years. Several people that I worked with were fired after giving notice, and upper level management threatened retaliation against employees who either quit publicly or didn’t give notice (which is illegal in Virginia). Upper level management also threatened to fire people if they discussed compensation (which is also illegal).
