The company is a mess. With the new CEO things were supposed to change, but he is only hiring his former colleagues from Visa and Ingenico or French acquantainces for top executive positions. The company was already Spanish self centered and now is French self centered. Hotelbeds forces you to lie to hotels in order to sell more (for example opening distribution lists on weekends or at nights to sell on OTAs, charging them hidden fees, delaying payments etcetc). Targets are unachievable and the only way to achieve them is by tricking the system or by inflating the numbers, so it looks better to the investors. Decisions are taken by people that are not in the field and that they only way of pushing the teams is creating Tableau dashboards and Salesforce opportunities rushing them to close everything so it looks pretty on a ppt. Hotelbeds aims for quantity over quality, they will push you to make 12 meetings per week as a CM and 25 if you're a YM with hotels without looking at what's behind those meetings. Every year, there is a new target and a new structure. Portfolios are redistributed and the pressure is high to get quick results. Everything is done to prepare the company to be sold.
