Svantaggi
Politics, friends, and favors sum it up. I'm new so I haven't been affected by any of it, but if you have solid management years in the private sector, it doesn't take long to see how the winds blow here. Most of the upper management has no real leadership experience--they got their jobs based on friend and favors. There is a VP of EVERYTHING and ANYTHING, and senior managers galore. I see that a lot of the newer younger employees (in lower and middle mngmnt) have good fresh ideas, but the uppers either block them out of fear, or just wouldn’t know a good idea (or much needed one) or plan if it hit them in the face. From what I can tell, many employees just shutdown when they hit the 5 year mark....very sad to see good talent go un-nurtured. The people who hold this place together are stuck in their positions instead of promoted to managers so they can make the changes that need to be made. Money is being wasted on new offices for newly created and useless management positions, or so that their contractor friend can get money from the authority for unneeded and hairbrain plans -- Or wasted because of very poor planning because management doesn't have the experience for any forethought. I don't have the time to go into the Politics, but see the reviews titled "terrible leadership," "Overall....," and "Join this....," pretty much sum this place up. Keep your head down, carry out all ridiculous plans your manager directs you to, leave all your ideas at home, don't upset your VP's, play dumb, and be a yes person....you'll do just fine here
