Their roles seem to be more tenure and age-based rather than merit-based, which has led to a situation where they are not actively involved in the technical aspects of projects nor able to provide meaningful mentorship/support to their team members. Unfortunately, there are frequent instances where the accomplishments of team members were not adequately recognized, affecting the overall morale and job satisfaction. Additionally, the company mandates 5 days a week office attendance, which can be challenging due to the office's location in a remote suburban area middle of nowhere. This rule doesn’t extend to some senior staff and team leads, introducing a sense of double standard within the workplace.
