Svantaggi
If you are looking for longevity, if you are looking for a career, if you are looking for someplace where you feel respected and an environment where you can grow based on knowledge and not connections/politics, Hub Group is not for you. New hires are given a promise of great opportunity that is ultimately a smoke screen for resulting disappointment. Veterans of the company know the ins and outs, what's real and what's over-glorified fabrication. They have seen the good, and endured the disheartening. At the end of the day, it's Hub Group's most loyal employees that are betrayed or used as a scapegoat. And it happens time and time again. It's a toxic culture and one I wouldn't wish my worst enemy experiences. Hub Group's opportunities for employee growth and recognition are minuscule compared to other competitive employers. One of the founder's most infamous quotes was "our greatest assets go home at night." This philosophy has sadly fallen into the dark abyss. Customers are put in from of their very own employees. Being a family-run company, it definitely doesn't have that "family" feel you would expect. Most employees are working so many hours, with little recognition, that the idea of proper work/life balance is non-existent. Employees are burnt out. Morale is at an all-time low and the beast that is Hub Group keeps pushing forward, leaving their greatest assets, their employees, in its wake. The once simple, yet motivating quote has morphed into some thing along the lines of "our greatest assets are solely our customers." There are a few select individuals at Hub Group that have found success and have earned it through dedication and hard work, but there are an immense amount who found success by knowing little and practicing the art of nepotism. Proceed with caution. If Hub Group is your only option, then pursue it. If there are any other opportunities elsewhere, then take them and don't look back.
