Hubs's commitment to DEI appears more like a PR maneuver rather than a genuine effort. It is disheartening to observe that the majority of their DEI initiatives are centered on crafting ostentatious posts on linkedIn, rather than effecting substantial change within the organization. There have been no significant changes in the past few years. The bulk of the personnel in the people team exhibited highly negative traits and lack of professional knowledge. Engaging in communication with them proved to be exasperating at best. They seemed more inclined to dismiss employee concerns than to offer any meaningful assistance. Their responses consistently came across as dismissive and devoid of empathy. I had initially been genuinely enthusiastic when they rebranded from HR to a "People" department, but it ultimately transpired to be a misguided assumption on my part that they would operate differently from HR departments in other organizations. Externally hubs projects an image of innovation, transparency, and a commitment to prioritizing employee well-being. However, this image couldn't be further from reality. Once you become a part of the organization, you swiftly realize that the company's culture is founded on deceit. I joined this company with high hopes and expectations, largely influenced by its sterling reputation for having an "exceptional" company culture. Regrettably, my experience at Hubs left me profoundly disillusioned. The company's culture is oversold, and the actuality falls significantly short of the image they project.

Thank you for writing your review. It’s really important to us to hear what goes well and what does not. We needed to take a little longer to respond to this one, as it knocked us off of our feet to know that your experience at Hubs has been less than positive, and somewhere we have taken our hands off of the wheel. For that, we are truly sorry. Since you have worked at Hubs for more than 3 years, you know that our teams are built on openness, and trust and centered around bringing your whole self to work so that every individual belongs. Our initiatives around diversity are humble and there is a lot more depth to what is shared on our social channels. We also know there is a lot of work still to do in this space, but these are people and community-driven not derived from an HR or marketing strategy, but real stories. As a business, we want to demonstrate that no matter your colour, race, sexual orientation, gender, or neurodiversity we will make adaptations to learn, listen and that you can be yourself that is the true story and after gathering the viewpoints from our senior leadership to our interns, we are pretty confident in this statement. It’s important to mention that Hubs is a very positive and healthy environment and place to be. We have flexible working schedules, with the opportunity to work remotely as well as in the office, we offer a mental health coach, access to Learning and development, career growth, warm cooked foods, healthy drinks and snacks, monthly activities and a lot more. Our stance here has not changed, and our culture in our eyes is magic and organic. We are always learning, students and teachers. You are now not working for Hubs, but we would still like to offer support or the chance to open up and discuss how we could have supported you better, and not in silence. We are just saddened that we did not catch this, or that we left the impression that this is not a safe enough space to share these thoughts at the time of employment. We urge you to seek out so that we can resolve this or at the very least make peace. For now, we do want to reiterate that even though a very difficult review to receive. We appreciate feedback, good or bad as it helps us to get better and recognise where we need improvements. If you do want to speak, please reach out to the peopleteam@hubs.com
