Vantaggi
Pretty good pay. There are plenty people at Humana without a degree that started an entry level position making 30k. And true raises right now aren't what they used to be but I don't think many companies are giving too many raises these past couple of years. 3 weeks vacation per year to start. Opportunity to advance. Excellent 401k match. Other perks. Opportunities for non college grads. I really don't understand a lot of these negative reviews. I started at the bottom 8 years ago and I'm now in my 5th role (each one higher than the next). There are opportunities to advance (if you perform and/or are willing to go outside of your comfort zone to look to other departments). I honestly feel like people just like to complain and blame others for why they can't advance.
Svantaggi
Poor health benefits. The premiums are low but the benefits aren't that great as all the plans have a high deductible. Some positions are not very flexible but you can always do what I did and work your way into a better opportunity. I sometimes feel they scraped the bottom of the barrel in selecting some of their employees. Some people seem content to do just enough and earn a paycheck yet complain about the job. The company has also outsourced quite a bit of work but there are plenty of jobs within the company that can't be outsourced.
