Great firm - Recensione dipendente - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) presso Huth Thompson LLP

Some CPA firms are super competitive and pit staff against one another, but not at HT. And we all have lots of clients so having co-workers that are reliable and fun to work with is crucial. The partners are all accessible and understanding that we each have a life to live outside of the office. Pay is not very high, but I feel it is commensurate with the work performed. We work hard during busy season but I don't completely live at the office during that time.

The technology used for engagements is cumbersome and frustrating.

Keeping track of every client you do work for and how much time you spend wasn't the easiest process. It also wasn't explained very clearly upon hiring what was expected. My supervisor sat in the cubicle right next to me. She was horrible to work with. She was distracting at times during phone calls and talked to co-workers often. She was also very condescending towards me and when I made an error, she literally treated me like I was a complete idiot. She rallied her supervisor and they took me into the conference room and grilled me. I felt as though I had committed a major crime. Those 2 women humiliated me and I was in tears.
