Vantaggi
They pay decently and offer standard benefits. Depending on the department, you can get good work life balance (unless it’s anything on the claims side). With all that said, that’s why 90% of the people are there. The people who work there are there to collect a pay check and clock out at the end of the day. Most of these people are quite nice and pleasant.
Svantaggi
There are a lot of managers who don’t know how to manage people. The higher ups can’t agree on much which trickles down to their departments and it shows. It feels like an open secret that the culture is stale because the higher ups are out of touch (and also happy to just be collecting a pay check). There are people who feel like the higher ups keep making bigger goals just to make bigger goals just cause the numbers look good to their own department chief. This goal setting approach with no thought to how it affects the people who are actually doing the work kills morale. A lot of people have come and gone when they realize the culture isn’t for them. While there is decent business growth, the openings are mostly cause people chose to leave.
