1. Good Human Resource policies. They good leave policy, PA-DA for outstation travel and fieldwork, and great exit policy as well. This is the case because IFMR as a group have same policies across all centres. This is not the case with individual centres, Human Resource person at Inclusion Economics India Centre (IEIC), previously called EPoD is a just a pawn of higher management.

1. Work-life balance is horrible to say the least. I worked for 12 hours a day straight for 2-3 months with practically having just Sunday as a leave. Normal working hours were at least 50 hours a week. 2. A research manager has two reporting managers at Inclusion Economics, one in US, and other in India. These two folks just push the manager from both sides without talking to each other, leading to work related frustration. Ironically, you may find academicians working for labor issues in the same organisation. 3. As a manager, you barely hold any control either on your team or on work. The top management at Inclusion Economics is highly incompetent. Thus, they keep pushing the ball towards the manager, and holds the manager of projects accountable instead. 4. Hypocrisy runs very deep in Inclusion Economics India Centre. While academicians work for "rights" of the poor, while their field-staff doesn't get adequate social security. Their contracts are of 89 days, just to get a comfortable escape from the proper responsibility of an employer

Good network with international research organisation. Some RAs are good.

Svantaggi

Complete and utter lack of leadership. The company lacks direction from the top and middle management. Lack of good projects leads to underutilisation of good talent. There is no plan of action or a projected plan. Some are over-worked while some have no work at all. Absolutely no communication exists between the senior management and the employees. There is no synergy in terms of mission.
