Vantaggi
Pretty good pay compared to other jobs within this small city such as McDonalds or housekeeping which are pretty much the only other jobs that also require no experience.
Svantaggi
The schedule is random. Day crew employees work any time between 6am and 10pm (midnight during summer) and may work until close and then open the next day. Days off are usually split, sometimes you work 10+ days in a row and then only have 1 day off, other times you have 4 or 5 days in a row off and then work 1 before having more time off. In my last year I only had two days in a row off less than a dozen times. Management schedules extra help during the day while they're there, and then at night it's a skeleton crew even though it's busier after people get off work or as tourists are coming into town. It's like management is unaware that customers still come into the store after they've gone home at 3pm. "Full time" here is only considered 24 hours per week, and that's all most people ever get except for the few busy weeks during summer. Management has zero respect for employees. Multiple times members of senior management have ridiculed and mocked employees, store director even cussed at me on three separate occasions and I witnessed him cuss at another employee once as well. The only metric used to measure how valuable you are to the company is your speed. They care about absolutely nothing except how fast you are at your job. If you're too slow, you'll always be in trouble for some little BS.
