The people who left were amazing to work with and will certainly find employment in organizations where they are compensated fairly and appreciated for their contributions. (Remaining staff are wonderful but understandably super disillusioned.) Work/life balance was great because staff supported one another.

CEO is genuinely and disconcertingly not competent to run an organization. High turnover of employees who work directly with her (4 employees in the past three years) in development and operations. Enormous emphasis on fundraising to ensure CEO's compensation (250k+) which is greater than one third of operating budget and not at all commensurate with workload or organizational stature. Next highest paid employee makes far less than half of this salary - this employee does the bulk of the work and gets none of the credit. CEO gave herself raises and COLA adjustments while the three most recently hired staff received no pay adjustments at all during this time (two years).
