Vantaggi

Coworkers are great Company Credit Card Ability to travel all over the US All Accommodations paid for (Flights, rentals, hotels, per diem) Pay was pretty good if you worked long projects—if you worked a normal Mon-Fri 9-5, it barely paid the bills.

Svantaggi

Management does not have your back: When I was there the HR lady had more power over the field guys than their direct manager. She was the worst. Director of Safety was the only manager who seemed to care about the field supervisors/engineers. He was a great guy. Management showed favoritism. No production incentive or additional pay to train new hires. Last minute call outs to hop on a plane for weeks at a time. Terrible work/life balance. Forced to travel during the pandemic because the company believed they were “essential workers”. They absolutely were not and selfishly put their employees in stressful and dangerous situations. Hours worth of paperwork after each work day. No solid progression path for upward mobility within the company. Did not promote from within and hired outside individuals for newly created departments, and management positions. Project Managers never leave the main office in Connecticut, so they have no idea what it’s like to be on a field project. Position was basically a Project Manager role in the field, yet management did not allow the Field Supervisors to make their own decisions.
