ION is generally a clean and comfortable place to work. The workforce is very diverse in both the offices and on the manufacturing floor.

No 401k match at ION

Work is challenging and great experience to learn different skills. A slightly lay back working environment and very diverse when it comes to the people. The other technicians and senior technicians are very helpful and friendly but I due recommend you learn or know how to speak Hmong and Spanish it can go a long way. Great place to get the experience to move up in say stay and learn for 3 to 4 years here and then move on and leave.

There is no 401K, you as a technician only get about 3.5 hours of PTO per pay period, 2 weeks of training that 30% will be used on the floor for most jobs/contracts and the other 70% is a once in a while when there that one special contract come through, there is not sick days, team leads dont really tell you what you did wrong but its brought up in your yearly review but in a soft way. Some of the upper management have 1 role on there name tag but then do about 4 other roles that are not mentioned like the head of IT is also the general manger and the safety guy(just some examples). Lastly they are very picky on clocking in and out if you clock in on the physical machine but not online you are written up and the same for the other way around but that's only for technicians the office is a bit more professional but only uses the online line clocking in system.
