As with most sales jobs, it can be pretty ruthless, unfortunately, in this case, it was also very territorial, no real collab among the sales team. Coming onboard, I was frequently told not to reach out to almost every other company. This happens even when there was no contact or anything for an extended period of time - was stuck trying to get small companies, whereas, the bigger companies brought in higher commissions because of the typical package size. No real management team to help provide growth or training. CRM was atrocious.
