Low salary for Bay Area cost of living. If you don’t have a strong ISAIA book, look elsewhere. “ Walk-in” business is extremely limited (unless they’re tourists).
Sometimes a very negative and hostile work environment. One associate impractical, was constantly confrontational with staff. But because of numbers, their behavior was given a pass. I could not tolerate it and thus my departure.
Unscheduled, unpaid overtime was a regular occurrence. Due to a store understanding that when a client was in, the entire staff was to stay until they completed their transaction. This would sometimes mean we’d not be released until well after store hours. Not cool.
You’ll be more of a tour guide, then a salesman. The location is in the historic Frank Lloyd Wright building. As awesome as it sounds, it’s not. Thousands of locals and foreign tourist love to see the building. You’ll be asked repeatedly about the history, FLW lore and other miscellaneous facts.
