Formazione, anche se è stata pagata molto male. Meno del salario minimo. Studenti, gente del posto, colleghi di lavoro. (Questi ultimi 3 non hanno nulla a che fare con l'azienda, in realtà. È stato difficile trovare un professionista.)

Ore (12 ore al giorno, nonostante nell'intervista sia stato detto che sarebbero stati pomeriggi + sere OPPURE mattine + pomeriggi) Area (ho avuto un uomo raccapricciante casuale che mi ha seguito e ha cercato di afferrarmi chiedendomi sesso mentre stavo camminando a soli 5 minuti per l'autobus fermati. Il posto è pieno di criminali e prostitute. Niente da mangiare neanche a pranzo. Ci è voluta quasi un'ora per recarmi lì dalla città.) Manager aggressivo e intimidatorio (Mi ha urlato contro in classe per aver comprato troppi insegnamenti ausili e lasciandoli nella mia classe, anche se la scuola non ne aveva e non ne avrebbe pagati) 3 ore di lezione per le scuole superiori e adulti e 2 ore per i ragazzi. Paga terribile, appena sufficiente per vivere. Sicuramente non abbastanza per prendersi qualche giorno di ferie. Gli studenti pagano> 60 € a lezione e ci sono stati dati 12 €. Il manager gongolava di come avesse così tanti soldi che andò a Las Vegas per spendere tutto una volta. Nel frattempo riusciamo a malapena a mettere insieme l'affitto. Nessun aiuto per trovare alloggio o sistemarsi in alcun modo. Il nostro padrone di casa ha mantenuto € 650 del nostro deposito e nessuno ci ha aiutato.

I have been working at I speak English, Elmas since 2016, started as a teacher then went on to senior teacher and now I am the assistant director of studies. Some of the advantages have been being able to grow and develop my teaching skills, gain the confidence in areas that I wanted to improve, obtain part of my DELTA with help from the school and now I am able to learn more about management, organise workshops and focus on the future. Despite the difficulties with Covid, the school is still growing strong and I would like to say that I'm glad to be a part of it. I would like address the comments made by in March 2020: the area, like all areas has good and bad parts of the city, the salary is competitive to other schools and to the cost of living (which they would have known before moving to Sardinia). The director of studies is person with a lot of patience and understanding, I've always found him to be fair and I can say that honestly as I've been working here for nearly 5 years.
