Svantaggi
Where do I even start... From the get go, I was never really informed that the role was cold calling. I knew it was sales heavy but had no idea of the pressure with very little guidance there would be. From my 2nd day in the office I was put on the phone to call back businesses in which a lot of the previous notes said "not interested". You're advised to lie and pretend you've spoken with people before to get through to the deal maker. They make it sound like it is easy to get a lead but don't tell you how many no's you will get before that. They don't train you on the actual deals - learn as you go on - not sustainable at all. They have a whiteboard up with very derogatory names for the staff on there (as a joke). Every day various staff members go to the pub and have 3-4 drinks (you can't legally drive with that much alcohol in your system so unsure why this was allowed). Was informed on my first week that the team leader was HR lol and if there were any issues, to go to her... people were "told off" for getting drinks during work time and told to only make drinks during breaks (this would mean you could only have 3 drinks per day) There is zero health and safety in the office. No standing desks but was made to stand up to work for 2 hours straight. Asked if this happens often and was told yes. Anyone that tried to sit during this time, to type up notes was screamed at to stand back up. Very detrimental for back health (I suffer with a spinal injury so this was the main component to me leaving). Meetings held at the start of the day are degrading, and team leader stands talking at everyone about how rubbish the office is doing and how embarrassed she is by everyone's work and expects that to make people feel productive. Staff members arguing on the floor in front of everyone and whilst people are on calls- very unprofessional. Seemed like almost all of the team were brand new but this could be because they had just moved. After being there for 4 months, I couldn't handle it any longer. The constant degrading, drinking and pressure caused me to leave.
