I enjoyed a handful of my co-workers.

If you like to be micromanaged, this is the place for you. Expect to be treated like an adult? Don't expect that. What they expect is for you to be in your chair every minute of your day, you can't be trusted to work from home in any capacity (even though I was hired from a 100% remote position). They'll hire you based on your experience but not let you use it. They'll tell you they want to improve processes, but they do not. They're not willing to change ANYTHING, no matter how broken, inefficient, or necessary to your role. They expect you to conform to how they have always done things. They don't even use their software properly and want you to redundantly track things in Excel spreadsheets. There are two positions of "leadership" and it's anything but. The problems with this company are 100% top-down... and you're not changing them. No matter what you do, how professional you are, you will be told how you should have done it their way. Been a professional in the industry for years? Went to college? No matter... you will literally be told how to write an email, and exactly what to say in it. I can't describe any particular person and/or title in this review but management is about as insecure as I've encountered to date. Inserted into EVERYTHING because there's no trust of anyone to actually do their job or make a decision without their input. If copied on any email, expect a chime in 100% of the time, despite the fact that it's already being handled. On a phone call with a Subcontractor handling an issue? There will be a call on the other line at the same time (not even kidding, this actually happened.) Management is so rude and disingenuous while pretending to be friendly and/or caring to everyone's faces, while talking about people behind their backs. Bring bad news to leadership about how the plans you are about to bid from a potential client are actually owned by another company they tried to use and the architect can't legally answer your questions? You'll have responsibilities taken away from you and be treated like you aren't a team player. As an added bonus, since they don't actually pay bonuses as a percentage of profits, you'll get to suffer through company meetings where you'll be preached to about communication, gossip, energy fields and manifesting thoughts. The only things being manifested there are a toxic and hostile work environment. I really should have been more concerned when hiring on about their high employee turnover, which is why I'm taking the time to warn people with this review. They make so many mistakes at the top at time of contract and expect everyone else in Design, Purchasing and Construction to make up for them because "X" has no idea how much money he's making per home, incessantly hounding you for budgets to know his profits after rushing to get Homebuyers to sign a contract. Some buyers apparently get a great deal, while others way overpay for their homes. Everyone in the organization knows and talks about these things between themselves, but are incapable of changing any of it. It's a "put your head down and do your job" or "I just work here" culture. So happy to be gone, the place is bad for your mental health, truly toxic.

Decent team to work with.
Svantaggi
Gossip, power struggles, back-stabbing, double & triple talk from management team - if you want to actually call them a 'team'. Owners lie constantly and try to play employees against each other. Was promised nearly $5k in closing bonus money after a significant number of employees left suddenly - never saw a dime.
