Vantaggi
There are some really great and talented people who work there and really want to make a difference, but they will probably never be heard. The compensation is pretty decent.
Svantaggi
The first thing to note is that Implus’s current rating (2.0) is much higher than it deserves because the lowest you can give is a 1.0. The biggest downfall of Implus is it’s leadership team. Marketing leadership never offers its employees any support. Past and present employees are insulted and ridiculed in front of current coworkers. Members of the same team are pitted against each other, and there is a definite feeling of “us” vs “them,” even among the same team. Leadership actually takes the time to email and ask around to figure out who is to blame for problems and mistakes rather than trying to solve issues, learn from mistakes, or take any responsibility for it themselves. Employees are told by leadership that taking risks is welcomed but should prepared to shoulder 100% of the blame if things go awry. Men’s opinions are valued way more than women’s. Females have been told they are “too aggressive.” The loudest person in the room always has the most respected and rewarded opinion. This is not a place for introverts. When employees face obstacles and challenges in their work, they rarely receive support or guidance from leadership and are instead told they can figure it out themselves (if leadership acknowledges the obstacles at all; they often never respond to emails). Favoritism is rampant, and the overall toxicity of the environment is inescapable. Projects are assigned with little or no direction, purpose, reasoning or data to back them up. Priorities change almost every week. People are hired without any strategy or structure of what their job will be or how their workflow will affect anyone else, which has caused massive tension and workflow issues among other teams. The saddest part is that there are some really great people who work there, but their numbers are dwindling fast as they find better places to work. The brands could be really impactful and fun to work on, but input from the team is rarely heard, and leadership’s priorities and focus are so scattered that none of the brands or projects get the focus they deserve. If you’re considering a job at Implus, I sincerely hope that you are able to find a job elsewhere. At least in its current state, this is not a place where you can be happy.
