Overall, it's an ok/good company. The company's very much focused on increasing their revenue as they've been struggling to do so over the past few years. The company wants you to grow your skills and always pushes their employees to grow. Unlimited RTO, this might feel like a trap. However they genuinely mean it, which is pretty cool to see. As long as it doesn't affect your work/project.

IMPORTANT: You do not get to choose the projects you're assigned to. You will be sent to one, and then you're locked in. Trying to be put on something specific just doesn't happen. They will tell you, "just stay on this project for a bit and we'll get you sent to where you want". I know 4 people that have been trying to be moved to a tech stack they're passionate or more familiar with, they're either still stuck or have been laid off. Company has been struggling financially over the past few years. This has caused a couple round of layoffs. As a developer you're assigned a project. You're billed to that client as a full time dev. However, they encourage you to become efficient enough that you can take on another project. While still completing your required full-time work. They are very good at making sure you know to balance you're work carefully in that regard. However, the billing behind this process always feels dishonest to me. Not sure if the clients would appreciate this if they knew. Pay is not great for the area or the positions. They have public salary bands, but everyone I know seems to be at the bottom of each band. Making the bands seem like a marketing stunt.

I appreciate and am genuinely grateful to be a part of a company like In Time Tec. Just like any business, it navigates changes in the industry, economy, and the overall ebb and flow of business - but I've seen leadership navigate changes with long lead times and full transparency which I deeply respect. I've witnessed leadership sharing financials transparently, saying what it is, and making decisions as needed with people in mind - beyond what is required or expected in standard business practices.

There isn't anything that truly doesn't work for me. If there was, I'm confident I could have an open conversation with management and that we'd sort through it.

There are only good opportunities for young engineers because there are very few sr engineers so they are forced to put young engineers in roles they are not prepared for. They don't want to pay sr engineers a salary that fits their resume leading to good sr engineers leaving or they put people in the sr engineer role that aren't qualified. The Sr Leadership in the US side are in an echo chamber. If another leader has differing opinions, then they are cut out of leadership and either put in a minimal role or are asked to leave the company. Sr leadership holds their influence tightly and if another leader with differing opinions gets too much influence, their role is significantly reduced. This has happened on multiple separate occasions at different levels of leadership The CEO had big promises that I was so hopeful for and believed so much in. But when push comes to shove, individuals are put on the back burner because of money and those promises are broken.
