You will learn a lot about the legislative process and the inner workings of State Government. This will be an opportunity to meet many people that work alongside the legislature and create many opportunities in the future.

The pay is not good and the benefits are not what they used to be but not terrible by any means. You will work some long nights and maybe on the weekends and as a salaried employee you will not be paid for that, however in most cases you are allow to claim "comp time" for those hours.
