Vantaggi
I worked as a content editor at Industry Intelligence for just under 2.5 years. The company took me in as a paid intern and I was bumped to full-time after five months. Interning was great because it allowed both myself and the company to see if we were good matches.
During my learning stages I was blown away by the organization of the training. Everything was laid out very clearly and the content staff is very good at giving feedback so that you become familiar with the company's style, what type of news we cover and how to post stories. It is neat to cover various industries to see what sticks. I covered personal care news and automotive for a bit, and I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed writing about the auto industry, having no prior experience or real interest in cars.
If management sees that you are excelling in a certain area, they will often give you more work that matches that niche. The content management staff is also open to new ideas and very approachable, which is always nice.
As for the aesthetics, the office is open and modern. It's one of the nicest offices I've seen and they provide snacks, including Keurig coffee, granola bars, oranges, etc. There is plenty of seating area, so you can choose to sit at your desk, at the high top tables, or on the couches.
Svantaggi
Depending on how many industries you cover, you may have to ask a few people to cover for you while you request time off. The content team is very courteous to one another, so this is very rarely an issue.
