Vantaggi
I interviewed several years ago for a Jr. Recruiter role and have, since then, moved up into a management role. As a Recruiter/Salesperson, I was looking for a company offering a good compensation plan that would pay me well for my success. InfoTech delivered on that and then some. I was incentivized to succeed and InfoTech quickly made good on those incentives as soon as I earned them. As I grew into my role, I was given increasingly large amounts of autonomy and independence within the office as well. Granted, I have been far from perfect, but I took the mistakes I made as coachable moments and allowed InfoTech's leadership to help me de-brief, learn, and improve going forward. Everyone cares about each other's success because when one person succeeds, we all do. As a result, we all trust that we have to hold each other accountable and trust that feedback we receive, whether good or bad, is given with the best intentions. In turn, this trust between ownership and employees allows us to have opportunities for flexibility in work hours, occasional work from home, and other perks. It's a driven culture that expects and rewards success. TL;DR: - Generous, incentive-based compensation plans (base+commission) for sales and recruiting - Respectful, direct, and honest communication of performance feedback. - Feedback is delivered in one-on-one coaching meetings and fosters learning as well as professional development - Opportunities for advancement - Management allows employees to work independently, while remaining available
Svantaggi
We're lean, so if you want a national or global brand name, we're probably not the people you want. There's no place to hide your failures or shortcomings--though everyone here is available to coach, mentor, or strategize. No one is perfect and discussing mistakes or problems can make people uncomfortable. Similarly, there's no place to hide laziness or indifference here. Not the place to come for a cushy salary--performance is a factor and employees have to work hard, but are rewarded well. It's not an 8-4 or 9-5--when things are clicking, we're often working long or off hours to keep up (which is why we're hiring now, actually). Punctuality is a must--being late to an appointment is inexcusable and can cost a salesperson an opportunity. Frankly, I don't see these things are "cons". I specifically liked these items because, by accepting them, I have grown as a professional and been rewarded with far more Pros. But it is not a lifestyle for everyone. I suspect top-tier sales or recruitment professionals will understand and appreciate the value described.
