The company's performance was already on a decline as 2023 began, and this decline was further evident after its acquisition by Berlin Rosen. The once highly flexible and remote work environment changed abruptly to a mandatory in-office presence twice a week. The upper management appears to be struggling to maintain control over the company, and it's obvious that some managers lack proper training in dealing with junior employees under their supervision. As a result, employee retention rates are very low. The company shows little to no compassion in their decisions to let individuals go, even when they've been with the company for years. Junior employees are being stretched to their limits, as they are consistently overworked, being assigned to handle tedious administrative tasks for multiple clients, often juggling 4 to 5 clients at a time. This workload raises concerns about employees' opportunities for skill development and growth within the company. The absence of a work-life balance compounds these issues, making it increasingly difficult for employees to thrive and perform at their best. In terms of DEI efforts, it's sad that say that such efforts appear to be non-existent at the company. While the CEO may publicly project a facade of concern, it is clear that these efforts are largely performative. The lack of diversity is also evident in the limited number of people of color employed within the agency, which should serve as a clear indication of Inkhouse's commitment, or lack thereof, to actively promote a diverse and inclusive work environment that welcomes individuals from all backgrounds.
