IDP has been in business for 30 years and has an A+ Better Business Bureau Rating. In this long time of assisting clients, utilizing hired employees and sub-contractors, we have had only 1 complaint to the BBB. We have also had only 1 subcontractor or employee compliant shown here. We think that is a great track record. IDP, along with its staff and employees, has always utilized highly experienced subcontractors who are experts in particular fields of engineering and manufacturing. This is a commonly accepted practice in our industry and allows us to compete in the new economy and deliver more effective and efficient services to our clients. For example, we have a highly experienced FDA expert on our bench to assist with medical device type projects. We also have a top chemical engineer with a PhD who can assist in products with different materials and reactions. Similarly, we have a manufacturing engineer who has worked on hundreds of projects in terms of tooling, processes and quality control. Having these types of experts on our subcontractor staff allows us to assist clients in an extremely effective manner without carrying high employee overhead. It is the best of both worlds and is the main reason we can beat out the large engineering companies and design houses in terms of price and service. Most of our sub-contractors have worked with IDP for many years and on dozens and dozens of projects. These subcontractors enjoy a mutually beneficial relationship and work with IDP on a high priority basis. Now and again, IDP will initiate a relationship with a new subcontractor. This single complaint was from one of IDP's newer subcontractors who was working on a trial basis. We only worked with this individual for several months. While the work was acceptable (not excellent), the subcontractor was extremely difficult to work with and the relationship was terminated after a short time. The claims about our business are incorrect, as this individual did not work with us long enough to know important details about our business. For example, we do not market ourselves as a "product design company", but rather a full service product development and manufacturing company. Engineering and Manufacturing factors are equally important to design in order to produce an appealing product that can make money. With all projects, we assemble a custom development plan and proposal. We complete stages and bill based on that agreed to proposal. We pride ourselves on being cost effective with a high value and level of expertise. In all cases, clients and IDP work on a stage by stage basis. Our clients need to be satisfied with the work in the previous stage and have total discretion to move onto the next stage. Clients are not obligated to work with IDP on future stages. This is written into every contract. It is unfortunate that one disgruntled staff member can put untrue statements on the internet and try and tarnish a good company's reputation. We hope that future clients and staff look at our overall track record, progress and the way we do business.
