Vantaggi
Money is decent but you work 12 hour days to get it.
Svantaggi
Management is unhelpful, and overly critical of employees. They do not take the time to properly train people and overall the mood of their employees is one of complete disappointment and discouragement. Management is disrespectful and unwilling to have any meaningful or useful dialogue with employees. You are treated with utter contempt and they let you know that you are completely dispensable. The work is very physically demanding and hard, and it is either hot or cold depending on the time of the year. The building is neither heated or cooled, nor are there fans or any kind. They do not even respect their employees enough to provide them with a clean bathroom. The bathroom was not cleaned the entire time I worked there. If you can imagine a men’s bathroom that is never cleaned and how bad that becomes. Ironically, even though this is a place that makes refrigeration units, they don’t even provide one for the employees to put their lunches in. I was told that as many as 15-18 welders walked off the job at one time, after they tried to approach management about an issue. They were told if they didn’t like working there to quit, and so the entire group quit at once. No one wants to work here and there is constant talk about quitting among the employees. Additionally, you will be promised that after a few months you will be able to move to electrical or welding apprenticeships, but that never materializes, most people only work in building the box that is the refrigeration unit. After they have gotten their pound of flesh they will let you go if you don’t end up quitting before then. I was in a group of 7 or so guys and the only one in my group that even made it a whole month, I worked for 6 months, but most of they guys I can in with left the first couple of days or weeks.
