Inogen truly has a great product but due to not growing with the times can not compete with the competitors and resellers, which causes constant concern for layoffs or workforce reductions. While the base salary is decent for a sales job the commission is constantly changing with targets that are not easily achievable due to good quality leads being far and few between. They communicate that they are patient first but value cash over insurance, which goes against the business model they discuss openly. Compliance is a nightmare and the point system that the use is backwards. For instance you discuss a discount on the initial call and they say that is a critical violation but if you discuss phi with someone that is not warranted to do so then that is only a major compliance. I have seen lots of coworkers lose their jobs because of compliance that could have easily been a coaching opportunity but instead caused them to lose their jobs. Also they discuss culture being important but that is just words. They could care less about the culture, there are a few managers who uphold this but they can not carry that burden alone, especially when they have someone in the director position who cares less to get to know the employees and just sits in her office with the door closed. When she first started she did a snack cart but that was short lived. Don't even bother asking her a question because she does not know the answer and will just refer you back to your manager.
