Vantaggi
A few good people to work with; however, they're usually out the door pretty quickly after they arrive.
Svantaggi
Leadership comes from the top down, and MedAssurant's leadership swings from disinterested to nearly sociopathic at a moment's notice. The CEO is unpredictable, praising staff one moment and then exploding in rage over something insignificant (e.g. a misspelling) the next. When skilled staff and management are acquired, they typically are fired or quit within less than a year due to the volatile environment and shoddy "products" they are expected to stand behind. Work/life balance is nonexistent, and trying to stand your ground for personal time can lead to a harsh reprimand or outright dismissal. Your nights, weekends, sick days, and vacation time all belong to the company, as far as management is concerned. Benefits and salary are more than subpar for the industry, and given the unreasonable workload you are expected to manage. Management actively works to obscure as much about company operations and financials as possible, and having seen some of this information, I can understand why. Depending on who you ask, many of the company's core business lines are either unethical or possibly illegal. If you value your professional integrity and personal sanity, I would avoid this company like the plague.
