With the Obamacare healthcare reform act now in place, the industry has completely changed and the choices left for Americans not insured through the private market are few. This leads to fewer Americans purchasing health insurance because of affordability and choice of products. Therefore sales have dropped dramatically at all the call centers like ICD. You are selling health insurance over the phone from both inbound leads and outbound calls depending on the lead traffic. If the sale is not a lay down you are told to hammer the prospect as much as possible until the either buy or hang up on you. If you dont say things the right way, the manager will monitor your calls and feed you what to say while hovering over you. On top of that there's a lot of favoritism between management and employees, so if you're not one of the Homies you may get treated like an outsider and more closely monitored by the managers on the floor. At this point I am at another call center that one of the managers was nice enough to refer me to so I do appreciate that. The week after I left I did not receive a direct deposit and had to make numerous calls and fight to get my last check which I was shorted and am still fighting to get paid for. I am filing a claim with the Department of Labor to report the illegal practice of not paying employees for forgetting to clock in or out on occasion.
