Svantaggi
First and foremost, as my review title suggests, this is not a tech company. It masquerades as one, but it is simply a smaller version of a typical, large insurance company, with all the inherent problems associated therein. - If you are looking for cutting edge technologies and/or business practices, please look elsewhere. Insurity is rooted in the 20th century, and is recognized as such by potential clients - There are a number of products within the Insurity line. None of these product owners speak with each other; all of them jealously guard their own space - In line with the above point, there is a pervasive culture of finger pointing: who can we blame today for our own mistakes? - Senior management have been around for a long time, yet they are either unwilling or, more likely, unable to move the company forward - Turnover is extremely high - Work/life balance is simply an HR marketing scheme. I have taken status calls at 10PM and have frequently worked through the night - only to be blamed for some silly mistake in the morning - There have been no pay raises for at least 5 years - There are no promotion opportunities. Although this review is obviously harsh, it is written as a true representation of my own personal experiences at Insurity. In summary, if you are in an in-demand tech field (developers, PMs, BAs) and are any way ambitious, Insurity is simply not the place for you. If, however, you have spent 20 years in the insurance industry as a Claims analyst, for example, then fire away! You'll fit right in.
