Svantaggi
Working environment: High expectations from staff but poor delivery from management. Taking a job in this company was my worse mistake ever and I was astonished to experience a whole new level of unprofessionalism. All looks procedural and professional in papers but in practice, they use and discard people as they please and they use some procedures as it suits them. It is a very bizarre office environment and there are lots of clicky groups that have the power to make your day hard. Although there are some few nice people there, in general, the office environment can be quite toxic, with a lot of action behind the curtains. They will smile at you and stab you on your back thanks to the company bad management, their lack of communication and social skills. Many people do not seem to be so busy and spend time gossiping whilst others are a bit busy working. It is such a secure place to work that feels like Big brother, so if you go often to the toilet you will be under the radar by your line manager. Employment: Due to poor management, there is: No reliable job offers. It depends on their workload. This is why they offer short contracts (6 months, 6-8 weeks and 0-hour contracts) Management miscalculate incoming work and they hire more staff than they need, then they have to terminate their contract using any excuse/reason at any time causing distress and false hope to employees. The administration is quite messy and unclear. Despite using a lot of techie tools things are all over the place. Management poor communication is a norm, so you won’t hear many forms your boss if you need them but to tell you what they expect from you. There is not much room to grow unless you are in the clicky dream team carry on with 0 contracts or very short contracts when they need you. Training: no proper training, material is mainly not updated, poorly organised, poorly designed, in many cases it will consist in just reading a paper and sign it “as trained “ “kind of a “chat training” or spending days of “training” ”over the structure of the company and history. They might use you to learn to train as a guinea pig. Musical chairs: depending on your job it is very likely you arrive to work and find nowhere to sit because there are more people than desks and there is a competition to get a place available. You will fill a lot of feedback surveys before you can really assess the person/situation. Plenty of “birthday, resigning, retiring, etc meeting” which also proves there is not much work there. Some people coordinate too many projects themselves and cannot cope with them so they assign others causing chaos and uncertainty. Some project runs following other countries latitude deadlines and financial year so you will not be able to take holidays in normal UK period. Not many teams can have printing access. If you are part of the unlucky ones it will be hard to get one. Don’t waste valuable time with this company. It is quite clear why their workload is low and their employment terms are draconian. There are better options outside there
