Flex dress. One manager was great, but didn't really stand up for himself/employees.

Attempts the ' flex time, flex dress, not micromanaged' work place, but fails rather terribly. Reviews are poorly given, and often employees get raises based on their out of office situation vs. their work ethic and input. Too many Leaders with varying opinions and tend to go behind each others backs. Not a lot of opportunity for growth, very pigeon-holed by education. Refuses to hear advice on better ways to manage or complete a task. Often told to 'keep your nose where it belongs' in a round about way.

ISC has a high sabotage culture with leadership that lacks vision and respect for employees. Inexperienced engineers are put in charge of senior staff, and management often responds to questions with rude, dismissive “duh” comments. There is very little to no encouragement from leadership for engineers to grow professionally. Support for obtaining a PE license or advancing technically is minimal, creating an early career ceiling. Work-life balance is almost nonexistent, and attempts to protect personal time are often met with resistance. Retention is unstable; several people left or were fired in a team of ~50. The workplace often feels cost-driven rather than people-focused, and morale suffers as a result. Some workplace comments and attitudes felt insensitive and unprofessional, and the culture frequently leans toward blame rather than accountability. There is more stability at a fast-food counter than at ISC. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
