Vantaggi

It’s a growing company and the opportunity to make money is there. But the reality is you have a less than 1% chance of making it at this company. John Cunningham is a great person and is somebody to admire. A self made millionaire who put all his chips on the table and came out a winner. A very very admirable person The office culture is mostly friendly and laid back. Direct supervisors are mostly good people and you can learn a lot from them

Svantaggi

Now with 100% certainty the vast majority of these 5 star reviews have been written by the higher ups at VTS. Honestly, I don’t blame them. Why not market your company in a positive way. That being said I have to give an honest review of what you are to expect if you are hired as a sales representative. The odds are GREATLY stacked against you if you are to make it in this company. The revolving door of sales representatives is a sad truth because this company is as cut throat as it gets. As a direct example of the stated above, I personally watched a new hire quadruple his expected quota in his second month here. He was good on the phone and got lucky with some cold calls and made himself and the company a nice chunk of change right away. The problem there? That quadrupled quota was now his expected monthly quota. After not meeting that very steep expectation for 2 consecutive months, his employment was reviewed and he was fired without a moments notice. He worked himself right out of a job by abiding by their “work hard play hard culture” John Cunningham is a very intelligent compassionate human being. It seems as though a part of him will never forget what it was like to be the underdog and he occasionally will come down to the sales floor before the day starts just to chop it up with the lower level employees at the office. John built this company from the ground up and it is very respectable, but as the company grew he had to hire people to make the cut throat decisions he did not want to. The COO for lack of a better term, is the grim reaper. You are a social security number to him. You are not a person with a family, with bills, with everyday life problems. You are a number and will he treated as such The higher ups have an extremely aggressive attitude of “What have you done for us lately”. If you just crushed the month of June and made the company a lot of money in contracts and commitments, July 1st is like built in amnesia to them. As far as they are concerned June is a far and distant memory and July is now what you’ll be judged on. As many reviews have stated there are cameras every few feet in the office and there is not an inch of privacy and everyone is watched like a hawk and it’s very uncomfortable. I understand wanting to know what’s going on in the office but it makes for a very uneasy feeling knowing someone is always watching your every move. Their “work hard play hard” mentality which has been used as a review response here multiple times is an extremely toxic workplace culture. Reading between the lines “work hard play hard” is defined as “Everyone here is burning the candle at both ends and everyone is exhausted” If you are to make it at this company you will have little to no work/life balance. That can work for some people. But the cold hard truth is this company will engulf your entire life if you want to remain an employee here. All you have to do to determine if this job is good for you is to look at the high turnover rate. It’s cutthroat and ruthless. They preach the “we are like a family” attitude. Of course, unless you fail to make your quota in consecutive months you are exiled from said family without a moments notice or hesitation. The poor base salary given to sales reps does not justify firing someone over high expectations not being met I just want to emphasize this. THERE IS NO WORK LIFE BALANCE. As in none, zero, absent, if you are to make an impression at this company. When 5 o’clock rolls around and you clock out at the time you are no longer getting paid, that will be passively deprecated and will be held against you off the record. Those who stay at their desk after clock out time will be viewed as “driven” or “motivated” when in reality they had 8 hours to send those emails and in practice is a clear representation of time mismanagement. Your co workers are in the same boat as you. Just honest people trying to make it and that helps form a bond but you will get discouraged when every week someone’s desk has been cleaned out without warning as the COO has decided to cut ties with them as if they don’t have a family to provide for and bills to pay.

The culture is prioritized and leadership is able and willing to take critical feedback to improve and keep driving forward. There is a true team mentality and everyone in it to win it.

Svantaggi

Onboarding can vary by team and is not as sophisticated as in larger organizations.

Vantaggi

Pay was good. That's it.

Svantaggi

NO centralized location for documentation. They will micromanage you into the ground. They encourage working off the clock. Management is confrontational and snarky. Development is slow to respond to high impact issues. Clients canceling left and right because the hardware and interface just does not work. This leaves clients frustrated. Small team for such a large workload.

We understand that tech support in a fast-paced environment like ours isn’t easy — it requires focus, adaptability, and strong communication. Monitoring response times isn’t micromanagement; it’s a key part of ensuring our clients get the timely support they expect from IntelliShift. As for documentation, we do have a robust and actively maintained knowledge base to support our team. While no system is perfect, it's constantly being improved based on feedback. We recognize that workloads can be heavy at times, but our lean team structure allows us to stay agile and responsive. We’re committed to supporting our employees and continuously improving our processes, tools, and product. We appreciate feedback and take it seriously — even when we don’t agree with every point.
