There are no ‘pros’ working for the company itself, the only benefit is that if you were a consistent and large biller, you received a good threshold of commission.

Andrew Gilchrist, company Managing Director, is an absolute disgrace of a leader, and should be held accountable for how he has treated his employees during the pandemic. The way he forced his employees to continue to attend the office during the first lockdown (March 2020) should warrant some form of punishment in itself. Guilt tripping his staff to ‘continue as normal’ whilst similar agencies and other sectors who were considered ‘bums on seats’ were able to freely return home to feel safe with their families whilst continuing to work. I have emails from senior management urging staff to remain in the office whilst the pandemic continued to spread through the UK, whilst Andrew Gilchrist sit in his mansion down south barking orders out to over 200 staff whilst sat beside his pool on his iPad. What is most concerning is that in forcing staff into the offices, there were no covid protocols put in place to protect staff. Employees were told to purchase their own hand sanitiser and cleaners were asked to stop attending, presumably to save on costs, when it was potentially needed most to protect staff. A total control freak who had no trust or faith in his staff to deliver results working from home. Colleagues were forced to leave their children at home during the day and told they must continue to work in the office, that is not how you should treat your employees, how much could that affect their education? The way I was treated during the pandemic was beyond a joke, having been one of the top 5 billers in the company, rather than to offer reassurance and praise for contributing to bringing through in excess of £250,000 into the business, they decided to offer me a ‘promotion’ which was a very small pay rise, around £2,000, at the same time as cutting my commission by at the time, over £2,500 per month, with no prior notice, in an attempt to trigger a loophole on a clause in my contract to avoid paying me commission. It was stipulated in my contract that any change to commission structures, the employee reserves the right to receive 30 days notice. The lack of integrity this business shows is beyond astonoshing. At the same time this happened, Andrew Gilchrist posted on LinkedIn that ‘Here at Interaction we increased commission’ which is a lie, I am not alone in that other employees at the time were either given pay decreases or commission decreases, an incredibly immoral owner of a business. I resigned with a grievance against the company the following week and took them to tribunal, it was no shock to me when I won my case and they paid me commission owed. I would avoid entering into employment with Interaction Recruitment at all costs, just look at Andrew Gilchrist’s LinkedIn posts for justification on his lack of respect for his competitors and the comments on his posts on how unethical he truly is.
