Interstate Threaded Products offers affordable health, dental, vision and life insurance to all full time employees, including a $10,000 life insurance policy paid by the company. We would like to address some of your cons listed; Environmental Conditions: Interstate has had a safety system and training in place that is regularly monitored and approved by OSHA; we hold safety meetings regularly with documentation to support this. Majority of our machines have a guard on them, those that do not are unable to and this has also been brought to OSHA’s attention with no problems. We hold forklift training for all new employees (if applicable) and continuously have refresher courses for our current employees, so that the equipment can be used to lift anything over 50 pounds. Management: Interstate is always striving to improve. We often send our management team to seminars to improve our leadership skills. Interstate also has legal documentation for each and every employee that previously and currently works in any of our departments. Product and Machines: Our machines may be older, but they are regularly serviced by our maintenance department to unsure function ability and safety. There is a hearing test administered to all of our employees at least once a year. All incoming material is mill tested. Any employee that is required to verify specs are administered a micrometer, caliper and any other measuring instrument needed. Working in a manufacturing plant, with these materials, can cause a mess no matter what. We have a 5S system in place to ensure that each working station is properly cleaned at the end of each shift.
