      They will pull you in with the promise of “big commission checks.” You will likely earn some big commission checks, BUT the following year they will raise your quota to a rarely obtainable level. Moreover, severe turnover on the engineering team will quickly transition barely obtainable into unobtainable. The culture throughout most of the organization is very toxic. Just read the reviews. There is a statistically significant sample set from which a logical conclusion can be drawn.

      Stuck in the past. Unwilling to consider updating methods or procedures. "We've done it this way for 30 years and it has worked." Sales relies upon project engineers to do most of their work for them. When volume of work is slow that becomes the engineers responsibility to go find new clients. Can't reliably pay the most basic of utility bills on time. I've seen the power cut off 2x and the gas this past winter.
