Job responsibilities are misrepresented; in reality, some tasks fall into legally and ethically questionable areas. 3. There are inappropriate relationships between certain members of management and employees, resulting in favoritism and workplace bullying. 4. Compensation is significantly below industry standards, with various justifications used to downplay or rationalize the low pay. 5. Unfortunately, these issues only scratch the surface—there are many more concerns that speak to the overall toxic environment.
