- If something goes wrong with a customer, everyone will turn on you and let you take the blame - If you want to get an answer about something, you have to jump through several hoops and go through several people to get it - They have no structure at all on how to handle IT requests - They expect you to stop what you are doing while working an IT request to answer phone calls since there isn't a set phone person or group and if you don't, you will be punished for it - If you don't fill out your time sheets to the exact second, you will be questioned by several people and be watched until they are fixed - If you mess up or have a ticket re-opened, people will come to you and set all blame on you and then watch you until you don't have a ticket re-opened - You are watched all 8 hours of your work day by several people, you can't do anything that messes with your schedule or they will know about it and you will be questioned about it - If you get into a hole, they claim to try and help you get out of it but in the end, they help you dig yourself deeper and deeper - They have no structure on how to handle many basic tasks such as: escalating tickets, time entries, when to ask for help. - If you try escalating a ticket that you've been working on for a long time, they will do everything they can to make you keep that ticket and then yell at you because you've been working on the ticket for too long - Everyone on the service desk team has no problem throwing you under the bus and take blame even though you didn't do anything wrong - When you voice your concerns and your issues, no one will get back to you and you will be ignored - When you try to give suggestions that you think will help workflow and help build structure for the company, you will be ignored - They claim everyone is a manager so everyone thinks they have power so every person in the building will try and tell you how to do your job even though they have no idea on how to do your job - If you work in the service desk, you are on the very bottom of the totem pole and you will be given all the work to do in the office - Everything you say in the teams chat will be used against you and you will be monitored in every chat you have - There isn't a single day that will go by where you aren't watched and they have remote access to watch your computer screen and everything that you're doing even though you haven't given them permission to watch your screen - if your status in teams changes to "away" there will be about 5 people messaging you asking where you were and what you were doing because "away" means you weren't active on your desktop and if you tell them that you were there and that it must have changed on it's own then they won't believe you and they will continue to watch you until it gets better - You will never be perfect or good enough, you will always be doing something wrong. You can go the whole day perfectly, fill out your time sheets perfectly, answer all calls that come in, and be the very best you can be and they will search for something wrong - They tell you that you're on a team but the reality is that you're not, you're all alone. You are alone from the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave, you are watched all day long and when you try to have a conversation with anyone in the company, you will be asked to stop or you will be ignored, people will tell you "you can come talk to me about anything, it doesn't even have to be about work" and when you try to talk to them about anything other than work, you will be yelled at and asked to stop, if you try to be yourself, you will be faulted for that and it may even get to the point where they have meetings with you to tell you to stop acting the way you act and act more professional for the company. - They will cause a lot of mental abuse and use you as a test subject. They will take away your job title and give you a new one and watch to see how you react. They took away my title of Help Desk Tech and put me on phones, only phones and they did it to see how I would react. I felt like trash and I felt like I couldn't do anything right and when I finally told them how I felt, they informed me that they wanted to see what I would do and how I would feel and once they saw that I hated it and I hated my job and my life while I was there, they made it even harder by giving me my title back and expecting me to pick up all the work and get it all done by the end of the day and if I didn't then they would have a meeting with me to find out why. - They expect you to get all tickets done within 5-15 minutes and if you don't, they will have a meeting with you to see why you aren't working quicker - They will tell you that people want you fired and that they will be having a poll to see who wants you fired - They will put you on performance improvement plans and monitor all that you do and if you fail the performance improvement plan then you will be punished for it - You will want to scream every second of every day and you will want everything to just stop but they will do everything in your power to make sure you are miserable - They will push you to quit and they will keep driving the knife in you and twisting it until you quit. - Eventually, once they realize that you are all washed up, all messed up, miserable, and broken, then they will let you go and pretend nothing ever happened.
