Vantaggi

Teamwork system and food are good

Svantaggi

Scrutinization of their employees, horrible management, during the interview I was talking really fast and a small spec of spit came flying out of my mouth and landed on to the table… the GM wiped it off with her finger and continued the conversation as if it never happened. I’ve witnessed multiple people cry during a shift due to the management mistreating their employees. They down play sexual harassment if it comes from a guest, favoritism to an unbelievable degree, I’ve experienced racism from coworkers the entirety of my employment, the place literally practices segregation amongst their guests in 2023.

Vantaggi

-you can make great money. $200-$400 on busy nights. Shifts can be short on weekdays. You either come in for an evening shift at 4:30 until business declines or close OR as a morning server 11:15am until business declines or until 4:30pm. -elevated level of service. If you come from a casual restaurant you will learn an elevated service style and be held accountable to that. -kitchen is fast and rarely is your ability to provide good service stifled due to long wait times. -generally management cares about providing good service and is pretty kind overall. -Schedule is consistent -auto gratuity on tables with 6 adult meals or more.

Svantaggi

- most important. YOU CANNOT REQUEST OFF AT ALL. Whether you’ve worked there 3 months or 3 years there is no way to request off even well in advanced. That goes for weddings, funerals, preplanned huge life events. They will expect you to get your shift covered by a coworker or take an unexcused absence which results in a written warning and up to and including termination. There aren’t any exceptions to this rule. Sick days are nonexistent which is not unusual as a server but you will be required to have a doctors note as an excuse or you will be documented as an unexcused absence. It doesn’t matter if you have bubble guts, vomiting, fever, etc. this is policy and enforced pretty consistently. -you will not be able to change your schedule in the future after hired or at the very least it will be very hard to. If you sign up for a lot of doubles, you will be expected to carry them out for the entire time you work there and there isn’t any requesting off so beware. You won’t be told this in the interview. My advice is sign up for small amount of work and pick up shifts rather than overburden and burn out. -Many servers are in a group chat where they pay one another money to get their shifts covered, mostly to no avail so please be aware and do not burn yourself out. Only put Open availability if you really mean that long term. They have very high turnover even though they are one of the better restaurants to work at. Often times people just don’t come back. -secret shoppers come in twice a month to evaluate the restaurant and may sit in your section. Passing is 90% or up preferable 95% if I remember correctly. If you fail it’s a final written warning or termination depending o n circumstances. I didn’t have a problem with this tbh but something to look out for. The restaurant does not accept parties ofer 8 people. That can be a pro or a con depending on how you look at it.
