Vantaggi

-Overall, the employees are friendly and can teach one a lot about the natural gas industry. They are eager to help eachother and are intellegent in their field. -Beautiful, new office building -Pilots on staff to fly employees to and from field office locations (efficient for necessary mtgs and events) -loyal employees (some of which have been with the company for 10+ years)

Svantaggi

-Management needs to recognize the potential and expertise of their employees by meeting with them and learning from them. Communication from the work being done to upper management is poor and therefore, the most productive decisions are not always made. -Attention is not always placed on the most important issues... but on frivolous things. -I wish there was more emphasis on the overall morale of the office.

Vantaggi

They have been in business a long time and are still a privately owned company. Most of the management truly care about their employees and the company still feels like a family company.

Svantaggi

The last two years were difficult times for the industry and bonus payments were minimal. J-W Power company is the only business left and is small compared to some of the other compression companies.

Vantaggi

As with most oil & gas companies, life/work balance is good and pay scale is good, nice new office building with decent cubes. Most of the people you work with on a daily basis are friendly and helpful.

Svantaggi

-Expect to be micromanaged, even if you are a member of management. Any expertise you have will quickly be dismissed. -On a number of occasions I've witnessed employees being berated by management during meetings, this seems to be a part of the management culture. -Communication is extremely poor from leadership down. -Advancement is based on being friends of, or part of the family that owns the company. -There's no clear direction from company leadership, tasks change on a regular basis and there seems to be no real commitment to completing projects. This is a strange quality to go along with micromanaging your employees, but they pull it off by redirecting efforts constantly. -There's no framework for providing feedback to employees, yearly reviews are non-existent.
